 Roberto's stepfather was mean and beat him. Roberto's mom saw a chance for him to get away if he could go to school so she packed him a suitcase and told him to go and be safe.

Summary of story:
 
 Burnell saved money that he earned from working at fast food restaurants and was able to have enough money to buy a old building and is able to turn it into his neighborhoods only grocery store.  
 
 
As you listen, take note of anything that seems interesting, surprising, memorable, or touching.
 That it was three and half years after the storm before they even had a grocery store back in the neighborhood. 
 
 
Why did you choose this story?
 It seemed like a feel good story from something that had been so terrible.
 
 
How did this story touch you or connect with your life?
 
It touched because this man gave everything he had to further the people he cared about. 
What surprised you in the story or what did you learn that you did not know before?
 
 It surprised me that it took so long to recover from something like a hurricane.

 This article talks about different things Donald Trump does and how people perceive these things. Donald Trump is trying to convince people he is a nice person and that he wants what is best for the USA. The polls still show people are thinking of him as mean, hard headed, and a "blowhard."

1)  I was surprised to see that Donald Trump was so defensive about subjects as little as his hair.
 
2) I was shocked to see some of the things Donald Trump says. He seems to have no fear of what others think of him.
